Busters art finds

Best piece of art i own.
Found at Busters amongst the mutated dear heads. Kat always sells me whatever I want for 5 bucks when i go there, so i seek out new things in the dark corners of the old Sun City school house... some scary stuff laying around.

On da grill

There is no mystery to what lies in the heart of a Kansian.

Taped, ditched pitch fork

Matt finds an old Pitch-Fork by min-donks pad.

Pancake House Dinner Special!

just when you thought it couldn't get better then breakfast at the Pancake house, you go for dinner and realize how little you know. The late night crowd is different because the pancake house has an adjoining door to the Cattlemen's Lounge, a members only dive bar. Some locals dragged me away from my pork chop dinner special to pound some weird apple flavored shots. as they say: awww snap!!!

pawn

at the site of the old twilight theater.

Scary place, scary things

Here is one of the scary things i have uncovered when looking around Browns Auction House at the edge of town.

Bethel

Bethel Thornsberry, former City Council member, my main man. took this out of his wallet today.

Delana's Costume

Tammy who works in the city hall office, found her daughter's bear costume in a pile of debris on her property the other day. Eight months later; things still come up to the surface.

"Houses move and houses speak"

My non-professional examination of this finding leads me to believe this belonged to someone's father and was possibly a gift from his son or daughter.

$1.00 in Kansas=10 commandments

Jack; member of the FIK field research team

Starlight theater

Found in the debris where the old Starlight movie theater stood. Sad they will never be filled with yummy popcorns.

Palenteria Rio Grande

Finally, after months of unpalatable field research, I have discovered a delicious secret in Dodge City. Palenteria Rio Grande is an ice cream parlor that, in the usual dodgey architectural fashion, looks just like a gas station from the outside, but behind that ugly exterior is handmade, custom wrapped ice cream and pops. I sampled them all. The best were the strawberry's and cream and a pouch filled with icy creamy vanilla stuff.

Mason Jars

Depression ware glass jars found on the site of the new Mendonite housing project. There were a lot more in the heap of rumble, caked in earth and cement. We rescued a couple and will use them as background elements in our interviews.

Memo Toast

Shrunken Head

KT found this freaky little doll head on the site of Greensburg's new water tower; my new favorite place in town. It's currently being wielded part by part by water tower erection specialist John Cash; my new favorite person in town. The 150' tower will be assembled and up on Thursday!
